PTA Membership Drive
Hello, Valley Elementary parents!
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! My name is Monica Valdez, and this will be my second year as your Valley PTA president. After a couple of years of constant challenges and changes, it appears that we are now settling into our new normal. At Valley, we are fortunate to have amazing teachers, staff, and parents. Together, I know we will continue to find new and creative ways to make this a successful – and memorable! – year for our kids. As a community we have many strengths. This year we have chosen a western theme for the PTA. I hope you join our wagon party and help us lasso a good time for all.
The mission of the Valley PTA is threefold: To provide cherished memories of Elementary school for our kids, to support teachers and staff so they can maximize teaching time, and to build a feeling of community for parents. But we can only accomplish our mission with our community’s support. There are several ways to get involved. First, join us by becoming a member of the PTA. A strong PTA membership is a sign of a committed and engaged community. Please click on the “Join PTA” link on the left side of this page to join. Second, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know if you have ideas on how to meet our goals of connecting and supporting our school community this year and can volunteer your time to help put those ideas into action. Third, you can support the PTA by participating in our fundraising efforts throughout the year (like Charleston Wrap, Friends of Valley, and the Jog-A-Thon). The funds raised allow us to bring great programs and events to life. They also help us support our teachers and provide Gifts to Valley, such as art projects, Field Trips and PE Equipment to name a few.
One thing that remains constant from every other year we have been a PTA at Valley… by working together, we can accomplish great things for our children.
